02584, the Blacksmith

 Hey there everyone! I finished painting the Blacksmith. As you may know, he will be featured on the diorama I'm building for the Tabletop World competition. Still a little over a month before the contest, I will have to go into third gear. This model was sculpted by Bobby Jockson for Reaper Miniatures.

I'm adding two side by side pictures with the model I painted in 2009. They're both metal versions of the model. I used a darker red on the new version and found it to be more realistic. Although I like the cartoon look of the one on the right. The Blacksmith got old but he has more experience. Each gray hair is testimony to a well-forged weapon.

Painting the Blacksmith Forge from Tabletop World, fire, metal, windows and rust effect

 Hello everyone, here’s the fifth and last in a series of videos in which I'm painting the Blacksmith Forge from Tabletop World. In this session I paint the fire with object source lighting (OSL), the exterior side of the windows as well as all the metallic elements using the non-metallic metal (NMM) technique and rust effect.
