DSM7969, Black Cat Avenging Thief

Here is DSM7969, Black Cat Avenging Thief.
This multi-piece model was sculpted by Dave Summers.

I was inspired by the colors of the samurai to paint his clothes and armor. The left and right arm, the extremities of the headband and scarf and the scabbard were all glued to the model before painting. The cloak was painted separately before the final assembling.

77434, Yeti Chieftain and 80072, Antarctic Explorer diorama

Reaper Miniatures 77434, Yeti Chieftain sculpted by Jason Wiebe and 80072, Antarctic Explorer sculpted by James Van Schaik. I've used transparent plastic blisters to create the piece of ice in which the Yeti is trapped and the synthetic snow is Army Painter Battlefields BF4103 snow.

DSM7971, Ali Sparrow the Female Cat Pirate

Yarr! I buried my treasure in the litterbox.
Ahoy! Matey! Is this a mewtiny?
So many funny jokes are possible here.

Here is DSM7971, Ali Sparrow the Female Cat Pirate.
This two-piece model was sculpted by Dave Summers.

I've assembled the chest lid before painting the model. However, I think it was not the right strategy. It was hard to reach some spots and paint some part of the loot.

77364, Angel of Shadows

Reaper Miniatures 77364, Angel of Shadows sculpted by Sandra Garrity,
mounted on a 77247, Pillar of Evil also sculpted by Sandra Garrity.

I managed to win the second place in The Official Quarterly Reaper Group Bones Painting Contest #8 held last November on Reaper's Facebook page. The last picture was my entry in the contest.

I entitled my entry the Angel of Hope. I removed the sword she was holding in here right hand and I carved her finger as if she's pointing the way for the lost souls so they will to turn back to the light.

I re-painted the base, added more osl effect.

10021, Viridius the green dragon

With the forthcoming release of the Bones version of Viridius the Great Dragon on December 17, 2018 it is a pleasure for me to unveil today my work on a pewter version of this winged giant. Here it is, 10021 Viridius protector of the Woodspike forest sculpted by Jason Wiebe. As you can see, there was enough space behind its frilled head to add horns. So, I made a set of giant goat-like horns and a set of stag antlers. The horns and antlers have a metal armature “finishing nail” and they are held in place by magnets that I glued in holes I drilled in the dragon skull.

It was a long-term project, I started working on it in June last summer. I hope you will like it and that my work will be a source of inspiration for some of you. I used Army Painter Goblin Green primer, Games Workshop inks, Reaper MSP acrylic paint and traditional brushes, no airbrush. I used real rock on the base and natural roots for the trees. The synthetic grass is mainly from Woodland Scenics.
